Escape Team combines working paper with a mobile app. The paper is not a preview of an otherwise entirely screen-based game: physical manipulation is part of the activity. Prepare both halves of the experience. S07 · S08
The three mobile records in this guide
| Record | Published access | What the time means |
|---|---|---|
| Training + Station starter | Free mobile entry | No combined completion estimate is entered in our data. |
| Terminal, mission 2 | $2.99 published mobile mission price | 20-minute mission countdown. |
| Elevator, mission 3 | $2.99 published mobile mission price | 30-minute mission countdown. |
These are the publisher’s listed mobile conditions, not prices observed in your personal store checkout. The Steam edition is a separate storefront product. Free mission PDFs do not establish that every corresponding app mission is unlocked. S06 · S08 · S09 · S10
A countdown is not a booking slot
Allow separate time for printing, checking that pages are legible, finding supplies, opening the right mission and explaining who handles the app. A 20-minute countdown cannot tell you when the whole group will arrive, finish setting up, or want to discuss what happened. The selector therefore never treats that number as a guaranteed total duration.
We intentionally do not add the homepage’s combined starter time label into a claimed full-evening duration. This publication has not timed a session. A reader who has exactly thirty minutes before leaving should choose a plan that can absorb setup rather than treating a mission number as a promise.
A bigger guest list needs a different layout
The publisher recommends teams of two to four and describes using a separate app device for each team when splitting a larger group. That is a participation recommendation, not a hard technical prohibition on solo experimentation. It also does not establish that one purchase can be shared across every account. S07
For nine people, three groups of three are a feasible arrangement under a two-to-four-person team rule. Use the team calculation in evening budget calculator to make a layout, then enter the actual authorised purchase unit. The calculator does not convert a one-account unlock into a multi-team licence.
Prepare without spoiling the puzzle
Follow the public setup instructions and download materials from the publisher. Keep solution pages away from players. Make the practical checks—printer, appropriate mobile device, and required supplies—without reading ahead through hidden answers. Do not mirror mission PDFs on your own site or include them in a public social-media tutorial.
Our distribution demonstrations show the planning tools in this publication, not the supplier’s puzzles or a fabricated gameplay session. This keeps the distinction between documented requirements and an actual review visible.
Choose it for the activity, not only the entry price
The relevant fit is a small group that wants to handle printed puzzles while an app runs the mission. A completely paperless remote call is a different need. Compare No printer? Separate browser puzzles from print-and-play downloads before buying, and use Budget the whole game night, not a misleading per-person price to include print and supply costs in the evening’s budget.
