A host who wants to solve the mystery is not automatically an extra person outside the advertised cast. This product includes a character for the organiser. In this guide, six people means six total participants including that organiser—not six guests plus an uncounted host. S11

Solve the attendance problem first

Make two lists: confirmed participants and possible participants. Build the evening around the confirmed list, and use only the supplier’s permitted role reductions if numbers change. Do not invent a substitute by asking one person to play two essential characters. One person knowing both sets of private information may undermine the activity you intended to buy.

The instruction to keep roles separate is our organisational advice. The precise casting and omission rules are in the seller’s materials, not reproduced here. Send enough practical information for a guest to understand the role-based format without distributing the solution or other players’ private documents.

Participating does not mean preparation-free

Agree who prepares the materials, keeps the order moving, and handles a missing file. The organiser can participate without knowing the answer in advance when following the intended sequence, but still has a practical role. Someone seeking a fully app-run puzzle with no designated organiser should choose a different format. S11

That is why session-fit selector asks separately about roleplay and a participating organiser. Enjoying a fictional character does not imply volunteering to organise; wanting to organise does not mean wanting advance spoilers.

A longer evening need not be a continuous sitting

The publisher describes a section-based way to spread the story across a weekend. This is a specific documented option for this title—not evidence that every game in the catalogue has a save-and-resume feature. Preserve the sequence and the seller’s permitted use. S11

For a conventional dinner, put preparation before the arrival time and leave room after the reveal. Do not schedule transport around an exact two-hour finish based solely on an estimated duration.
